Philip Turnbull

Association of International Accountants, Chief Executive

Philip is the Chief Executive of AIA, a global body for professional accountants, a post he has held since 1999.

AIA was founded in 1928 with the concept of creating a global body for accountants and was the first UK-based body to offer its qualification internationally.  Under Philip’s direction, AIA continues to hold true to these founding principles, aiming to create world class accountants through offering high-standard, relevant and innovative qualifications around the globe.

Philip has a detailed and working knowledge of strategic planning, operational review, regulation and education in a professional environment.  He is committed to the continued development of the AIA professional qualification to provide aspiring accountants with a viable and valuable alternative to the larger accountancy organisations.  Under Philips leadership AIA has a strong focus on customer service, promising its members that you are not “just a number,” and he enjoys building close relationships with AIA branches and partners all over the world.
