NINSO The Northumbria Internet & Society Research Interest Group

We are lawyers, economists, business scholars, social scientists, architects, computer scientists, engineers and students with a research interest at the intersection of Internet and society.

There are two features we are particularly proud of.

First, this is an open group. Mainly, this means that students (at master’s and PGR level) are active members of it. Moreover, NINSO is open to colleagues from other universities (currently, from the Universities of Pavia, Turin and Sassari) and from practice (e.g., IET).

Second, it is a multidisciplinary enterprise. We are researchers from law, business, social sciences, computer science, engineering, and architecture. We believe that collaborating will improve both the quality of our research and the chances of successful bids.

If you would like to become a member of the NINSO family, want to visit or otherwise collaborate with us? Get in touch!

Group convenors: Elizabeth Tiarks and Massimo Ragnedda
