Adam Boyle

Career Path: Barrister, St John's Chambers
Location: Bristol, UK

Adam BoyleI am a Chancery & Commercial Barrister at a leading set of Chambers based in Bristol. My career highlights so far include appearing in the Court of Appeal and a number of other interesting cases. After graduating with a Philosophy degree I soon realised that I wanted to return to University, convert to law and go the Bar. Northumbria played a key role in helping me get the training and qualifications I needed to get into the profession.

What are you doing now?

I am working as a Barrister at St John's Chambers in Bristol, I have been in this position since 2014.

What was it about Northumbria that made you decide to study here?

As a North-East local (born and raised just outside Durham), Northumbria was an obvious choice when it came to mitigating the expense of returning to study while still obtaining a high quality education.

How connected was your course with industry?

The BPTC Course had particularly informative speakers - as a student it's very useful to hear from experienced barristers who can give you insight into their working lives.
