Dr Spencer Boyle

Assistant Professor

Department: Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation

Spencer joined Northumbria University in 2013 and is currently a senior lecturer in health and life sciences. Spencer has extensive experience in the health and fitness sector before he gained qualified teacher status and worked in secondary school Physical Education. Following this Spencer went on to study for his PhD at the University of Sheffield exploring children’s physical activity levels.

With regards to industry Spencer his used his wide ranging sport and physical activity background and experience to work in the delivery and management of exercise, sport and physical activity projects at local authority. He is currently continuing to deliver as a level 4 accredited exercise professional in the health and fitness sector.
