EE Grahammowl Staffprofile 255 I am a graduate of the University of Durham BA (Hons) Geography. After leaving Durham I came to Northumbria to work as a Research Assistant and to study for a Ph.D. on women's leisure and social constraints. In 1995 I became a full time lecturer at the University of Northumbria and I have been the BA Geography Programme Leader, off and on, from 1998. I currently teach mainly within the areas of social geography, leisure and tourism, and qualitative research methods and geographical thought.

Research Themes and Scholarly Interests

Research interests include: postcolonial perspectives on nineteenth century travel writing; multiple dwellings and rural depopulation and change in Andalucia, Spain; geographies of ageing, ageism and retirement mobilities.
