Dr Mai Vu

Assistant Professor

Mai Vu is a Lecturer in Leadership and Human Resource Management within the Leadership and Human Resource Management department, Faculty of Business and Law, Newcastle Business School.

She has obtained her MSc in Human Resource Management from the University of Bradford School of Management and her PhD in Management from Durham University Business School.

Her research interests include leadership, workplace spirituality, meaningful work, corporate mindfulness, and the application of Buddhist philosophies in organizational studies. Her recent projects include cross-cultural studies and studies exploring paradoxes and identity transitions in the transitional economies.

Her PhD thesis has been awarded the MSR Most Promising Dissertation Award at the 77th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management in 2017 and Honorable Mention for the 2018 Federic M. Jablin Doctoral Dissertation Award.
