Postgraduate Research

Jiwen -zhuMy project is to build high precision industrial wireless sensor network.

The main activities of the proposed research are:

1. Improve the PTP’s performance in WSNs by using advanced signal processing techniques.

2. Build an OMNET++ software simulation platform and hardware testbed to verify the proposed time synchronization scheme for WSNs.

The planned research has the following tasks:

1. Discuss the basis components of wireless sensor network and the structure of wireless sensor network and network typology.

2. Make an in-depth study of the principles of wireless sensor network clock synchronization between nodes.

3. Improve the PTP’s performance in WSNs. Since the PTP was originally proposed for wired network, its performance degrades due to the asymmetry of packet transmission delays in wireless links.

4. Build an OMNeT++ software simulation platform to verify the precision on WSN.
