Accreditation and Recognition

It is important that our Mathematics, Physics, and Electrical Engineering courses meet the requirements of industry as represented by the various professional bodies. Accredited and recognised courses meet the underpinning knowledge and understanding requirements for registration set out by a professional body. The University is periodically visited by representatives of these professional bodies to ensure that the courses adhere to their criteria. The professional bodies we work with are listed below.

The following courses have been recognised by the Institute of Physics (IOP) for the purpose of eligibility for Associate Membership:

IET logoThe following course has been accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) on behalf of the Engineering Council for the purposes of fully meeting the academic requirement for registration as an Incorporated Engineer and partially meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer:
