An International Business School

Newcastle Business School has a proud and well-deserved global reputation for the international focus it brings to all of its work. It has been involved in international education and overseas partnerships for well over 20 years. Currently with around 1000 international students studying its programmes on the Newcastle Campus, and nearly twice that number on its programmes overseas, the Business School is truly an internationally engaged and internationally aware education provider.

That heritage means that you will be engaged with academic tutors and professional support staff who understand the needs of international students and who will endeavour to help you maximise the benefits of your time with us. The cultural diversity of Newcastle Business School extends beyond the student body and there are a significant number of International academics in the Faculty team. Our academic programmes prepare students for the world of work in an increasingly global context.

Importantly, you will meet, interact and make friends with fellow students from a diverse student body – an experience that many of our graduates say is a powerful, positive and truly enhancing experience.

Newcastle Business School is part of a University with a strong International focus and therefore there are a range of support mechanisms in the University that make the International student experience a great one – from induction, advice, accommodation, part-time employment, study skills, library, student union activities, sports etc. Northumbria University’s International Office has a wide range of information for all international students which you can access directly or through our Regional Offices in China, India, Thailand and Malaysia.

In addition the city on Newcastle and the North East region offer a host of wonderful social, cultural and heritage opportunities that have helped to make Northumbria University such a popular destination for international students.

Increasingly there are opportunities for students to spend time studying overseas with one of our international partners, and we have about 40 exchange partner agreements across the world and these are growing all the time.

Alternatively we have a small number of distance learning programmes offered across the globe.
