Digital Business Innovation

The Digital Business Innovation RIG seeks to develop high-quality and impactful research in the area of digital business and digital innovation. It draws on research that explores the digital transformation of organisations and society, from the emergence of digital platforms to the development of agile processes and business analytics. This transformation is far reaching, creating new opportunities online and improve profit while simultaneously raising barriers to participation and digital inequalities.

Members of the RIG undertake basic, applied and experimental research. This varied and diverse research is undertaken, working with partners based in local and regional governments, international organisations and NGOs. Research has been published in leading journals such as Digital Policy, Regulation and Governance, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Telecommunications Policy, ERJ open research, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Springer Nature, to name a few.
