With your support we are:
How can you help?
A donation of:
£35 will cover learning resource costs for one person to undertake Mental Health First Aid training;
£50 provides professional counselling for one student;
£120 gives access to NUTHINKING, an intensive 3-month programme providing mental health coaching and nutritional advice for one student; and
£500 will fund the Mental Health First Aid training for a cohort of Northumbria students.
“With the pandemic, the mental health needs of our students have increased. NUTHINKING helps our students to understand and experience the benefits of physical activity, complementing the support the Students’ Union and the University already provide. It’s been invaluable in supporting students"
Nerius Shah, President, Northumbria Students’ Union
"Northumbria was definitely very influential in terms of getting me talking about my mental health. Visiting one of the University's counsellors at Student Central was one of the first people I opened up to and certainly got the ball rolling in terms of seeing the benefits of talking”
Tom Home, Northumbria Graduate and Founder, blOKes Charity
