Career Path: Associate Professor Department of Community Medicine Lahore Medical & Dental College
Location: Lahore, Pakistan

I have cultivated a comprehensive and diverse career, seamlessly blending roles in academia, healthcare administration, and project management. In the academic realm, I have been an Associate Professor in the Department of Community Medicine at Lahore Medical & Dental College, Lahore, Pakistan. Responsibilities include classroom teaching, guiding students in hospital-based studies, and facilitating community-based medical training. Concurrently, as Chief Coordinator & Operations Officer at Surgimed Hospital, I oversaw the administration and coordination of all operational aspects. Notably, they played a pivotal role in obtaining PHCC HCE Licensing for the Hospital.

A significant part of my career involves serving as Project Director at Oasis, a not-for-profit social enterprise. The project focuses on providing affordable and quality healthcare to low-income families through OPD treatment and insurance-based health cards. During my tenure with UNICEF, I worked as a Provincial Coordinator, actively involved in coordinating investment cases in Punjab to achieve Health MDGs. This role included collaboration with various stakeholders and conducting a health systems assessment. At the National Commission for Human Development, I served as a Deputy Project Manager for Primary Healthcare in Sheikhupura, Pakistan. This role aimed at restructuring and strengthening the Primary Health Care System, aligning with government health sector objectives. In a consultant capacity for TAMA, I contributed to the Punjab Devolved Social Services Programme. This involved collaborating with ADB and DFID to strengthen devolved social services and achieve progress on Millennium Development Goals.

I also gained international experience as a Clinical Coordinator at Broadway Medical Centre, Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK. Responsibilities included ensuring compliance with NHS frameworks, overseeing projects, and managing clinical operations. Before venturing into academia and project management, I provided compassionate care to the elderly and individuals with Alzheimer's and dementia. In summary, My career reflects a deep commitment to healthcare, education, and community service. The diverse roles underscore a holistic approach to healthcare solutions and a dedication to improving health outcomes, particularly for underserved populations.
