I am a seasoned educator, curriculum developer, career coach, and counselling practitioner who has collaborated with local businesses and international partners to support and empower individuals from diverse backgrounds. My passion for helping people extends beyond my work in IT and business. I am dedicated to career coaching, mentoring, life coaching, and counselling practices, with the belief that being a 'great educator' is not only about teaching well but also inspiring others. I am committed to inspiring individuals to reach beyond their limits and transform their perception of their own capabilities through the power of inspiration.

As the Managing Director of Kalyn Hughes Pte Ltd, I am responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business, organisation, or corporate division. Prior to this, I worked as an Associate Trainer and adviser for various local TAE institutions, representing the institution through training, public speaking, and curriculum development. 

What was it about Northumbria that made you decide to study here?

The background and history of Northumbria was amazing!

What was it like studying at Northumbria?

There were mix of various learning approaches like lectures, projects and seminars. Also, the convenience of the delivery in Kaplan Singapore.

How connected was your course with industry?

It was very connected as there are many opportunities and met peoples from all walks of life! Very interesting!

What was the best thing about your course?

Flexibility of the course design for professional and adults learning experience.

How did studying at Northumbria help you achieve your career goals/ give your career an edge?

The course was very connected which created many opportunities for my projects and business.

Which skills/knowledge did you learn on your course that you use most now throughout your career?

Holistic view of business in the big picture, ability to understand the business world and practices.

What did you enjoy most about your time at Northumbria University?

The autonomous and in-dependent nature had helped me developed resilience and strength in my education achievement.

What advice would you give somebody who is considering studying at Northumbria?

Relax, enjoy the process and persevere!

How would you describe your time at Northumbria in three words?

Challenging, tough and enjoyable.
