HUMANITIES SCHOOL & COLLEGE OUTREACH

Details of School and College Outreach activities, events and resources for History, English, International Relations and Politics, Social Sciences, Criminology, and Professional Policing

Are you hooked on History, excited about English, passionate about Politics and International Relations, Curious about Criminology or Sparked by by Sociology?  If so, we’d love to meet you!

We offer a wide range of activities for school/college pupils and teachers in History, American Studies, English Literature and Language, Creative Writing, Politics, International Relations, Sociology, Criminology and Professional Policing

Look out for our regular subject taster days. We typically hold at least two each year with a range of subject sessions led by our academic and an opportunity to visit our campus.

Our student ambassadors also do school visits where they lead 50-minute subject sessions aimed at Years 9-11 as part of Northumbria’s Junior Evolve programme.

In the past we’ve also held teacher workshops and virtual study seminars. Moreover, our researchers are also often out and about sharing their world-leading research in public events, so you’ll find details of one-off events and other opportunities suitable for schools and families too.

Finally, of course, you can always meet us at one of the Northumbria University Open Days.

Check out our blog below for up-to-date details, dates, and how to book for all these activities and more.

You can also follow our activities and shared your ideas with us via our LinkedIn Group or get in touch with our Outreach and Recruitment Co-Ordinator to request a visit to a class or event at your school or college.

If you have a query unrelated to a specific event, please contact studentrecruitment@northumbria.ac.uk in the first instance.
