Phil is an ex professional goalkeeper who featured for Sunderland, Exeter City, Scarborough Athletic and Whitley Bay. During his time at Sunderland, Phil played alongside fellow i2i coach Darren Williams.
Phil, a UEFA B license coach, is also the current Head of Goalkeeping at Northern Premier Division side South Shields looking after the first-team and the academy.
