Simon Scott-Harden

Assistant Professor

Department: Northumbria School of Design, Arts and Creative Industries

Following graduation from The University of Glasgow and The Glasgow School of Art in Product Design Engineering and then a Masters in Computer Aided Product Development, I worked for a number of product and industrial design consultancies. I then went on to set up a product design and development company, design initiatives included consultancy work for a number of consumer, sports and healthcare clients.

Over the years I have also taken a number of my own products to market, from initial conception through to production and through the creation and development of the IP, I have been involved in the resulting commercial collaborations / spin out companies.

I am now a Senior Lecturer on Design for Industry and Transportation Design since September 2009.
