Professor

Department: Computer and Information Sciences

I am Professor of Computer Science and Sonification in the Department of Computer & Information Sciences where I have worked since 2001. Prior to that I worked for 12 years in the School of Computing & Mathematical Sciences at Liverpool John Moores University, and from 1987-1988 I worked in a software development team at Digital Equipment Co. Ltd., Reading.

My research interests are:

  • Sonification & Auditory Display
  • Visualisation (esp. visualisation for security)
  • Network security
  • Cyber security and situational awareness
  • Aesthetic Computing
  • Computing & Music
