Human-Centred Computing

The Human-Centred Computing (HCC) research cluster is led by Professor Martyn Amos. This cluster consists of three research groups that are pursuing research in diverse but connected areas related to social computing, impacts of contemporary computing systems on human lives, digital learning, and digital health and wellbeing.

Northumbria Social Computing 

Led by Professor Sean Lawson, the focus of this area is to critically understand the role, and implications, that computer science and social aspects of computing have in delivering future digital systems and digital aspects of living.

Digital Learning Laboratory

Led by Professor Becky Strachan, the group focus on research that combines technology and education pedagogy. This includes digital literacy, games for learning, and technology enabled learning.
