Are you interested in the psychological impact of physical disease? CBT is a proven technique that can be used to support service users who suffer psychological symptoms such as anxiety, panic and depression as a result of their physical disease. This bespoke module will enable you to learn techniques which involve adopting a curious questioning style to work collaboratively with service users to help them understand and address their problems.
CBT’s structured approach is time efficient and can be used in your everyday practice. The core CBT skills you will develop and practice throughout this module will enable you to apply ‘CBT first aid’ techniques to your service users and help them explore new ways of looking at the issues causing them distress.
Please note, successful completion of this module does not allow you to become a cognitive behavioural therapist.
