This research rich programme will provide students with skills of intellectual autonomy, collaborative working, critical and independent enquiry and discipline specific creativity. Intellectual autonomy is a key feature of the programme within which students are given responsibility for developing health & social practice.
The programme advances their research-based approach to dealing with complex issues and making sound clinical judgements with sometimes incomplete data, a fundamental skill in the contemporary field of health & social practice. Self-direction will be encouraged to examine the key ideas and concepts that link learning to the development and understanding of research and research opportunities. Collaborative working is a strong feature within the programme and students will be encouraged to share their learning and the evidence base within the professional context and with their wider community of practice.
