Northumbria University - Early Payment Discount

2026/27 Early Payment Discount

For Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught International students joining Northumbria University in September 2026 and January 2027.

The Early Payment Discount (EPD) will award new students who pay their deposits by 29 May 2026* (September 2026 entry) and 30 October 2026* (January 2027 entry) with a £500 tuition fee discount.

This discount applies to full fees for the academic year 26/27.

Terms and Conditions

To be eligible for the Early Payment Discount, you must:

  • Be an International student with ‘Overseas’ fee status
  • Have paid your deposit by either the 29 May 2026 for September 2026 entry or 30 October 2026 for January 2027 entry
  • Be a self-funded student (not in receipt of any sponsorship)
  • Be accepted and enrolled on a Full-Time Undergraduate or Postgraduate Taught course at the Newcastle Upon Tyne campus
  • Meet all individual course requirements

Important Information

  • The Early Payment Discount is applied automatically as a fee discount and will be added to student records following enrolment, you do not need to make a separate application
  • The EPD is for new students joining in September 2026 and January 2027 only.  Continuing students are not eligible.
  • Students who have deferred and paid their deposit prior to deferral are not eligible for the EPD
  • Any student who has transferred fees by the above dates which has not yet been credited to Northumbria will also receive the discount (proof will be required that funds were transferred before deadline date)
  • Students who enrol on courses that are not eligible for International Country Scholarships are eligible for the EPD, including Advanced Practice courses
  • The EPD is awarded in addition to the UG/PGT Country Scholarships and Alumni Discount
  • The EPD is not available to overseas students on Undergraduate courses delivered with the International Soccer Academy (i2i) as the tuition fee for this programme is already inclusive of the EPD
  • The EPD is available to students from the USA who have either: Paid their deposit or listed Northumbria University on their FAFSA for the process of using Financial Aid
  • The EPD is not available to students on Study Abroad
  • Students who study via Distance Learning are not eligible for the EPD
  • International Foundation Programme and International Year One (Pathways) students are not eligible for the EPD
  • Students who have already paid full or 50% fees are also eligible for the Early Payment Discount
  • Students who wish to pay additional funds to ensure they pay 50% or full fees by the deadlines are also eligible
  • Northumbria reserves the right to withdraw the scheme at any point
  • Northumbria's decision is final and cannot be challenged; there is no right of appeal

 

* Please note the above dates are not the deposit deadlines, which will be earlier for CAS processing.
