Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

I heard about it from my friends who graduated from Northumbria . They told me that I will be comfortable  with the teaching staff because they are lovely and friendly, and the whole environment will be nice. 

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

I like Newcastle because it is interesting for my family, there are  many places to visit such as museums, parks. There are also many places for shopping everywhere. Various transportation are available near my accommodation. Above that, I like going to the beach in spring and summer time.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

Newcastle is not a noisy city which is appropriate for students. 

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

I like Northumbria, I am happy because it was my first choice and I had the opportunity to study here. This is my second master in Northumbria and I hope to continue with PhD studies here.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

The diversity among the students and the staff. Different people from different backgrounds often help learning more and more. 

 What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

Friends from Libya, and also some friends from the university and some teachers helped me indeed. 

Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?

My tutors. 

What is your favourite place on campus?

The library and the Business School building. 

What is the best thing about your course?

Everyday I find myself learning new things which has built my personality and made me fee more confident. 

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

If you work hard, you will gain high marks. 

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

I think I have learned many skills, such as IT skills include (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Word, SPSS, Microsoft Office) which I did not know before I came to Newcastle, and team work. 

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

Come and study at Northumbria  and you will not regret it. Comfortable environment, no discrimination and flexibility. 

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

Yes sure, confidence as I mentioned before, and improvement and development is apparent in every little detail in my life. 

If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be?

I adore Northumbria!

Would you recommend Northumbria University to a friend?

Yes with confidence, and I have!
