Why did you decide to study a Masters'?

To learn new skills in an area of study and activity I was very interested in developing my career

Why are you studying part-time?

I am studying part time as it allows me the flexibility to work and progress my other interests in the voluntary sector

Why Northumbria University?

It has a good reputation and is base in my home city

What makes your course challenging? How would you sum up the difference between undergraduate and postgraduate study?

The challenge is to learn new skills and knowledge in a new are for me. The academic team create the space and opportunity to learn and create placement opportunities with 'real world' experience.

What is it like studying at Northumbria? What are the different ways that you learn on your course?

There is a wide range of learning opportunities using lectures/seminars as the core.

How connected is your course with industry?

I am on a placement as part of my course in Management Practice

What impressed you most about our academic staff?

They are enthusiastic and supportive

How accessible do you find our staff? Do you feel at ease?

The staff are available for informal discussions and arrange course events

As a postgraduate, part-time student, what aspects of university life are important to you?

The library is accessible and a source of support in a range of areas

What doors do you think this course will open for you? How will your course help you achieve your career goals/give your career an edge?

A move into consultancy in due course

Have you changed as a person?

More confident in my skills to assimilate information and prepare reports

Knowledgeable, confident and a person with emotional intelligence

More of the above but with academic interests
