Our Alumni - Work For Us
The majority of students undertaking an undergraduate or postgraduate taught programme at Northumbria’s UK campuses, are eligible for a Northumbria HEAR.
There are some exceptions to eligibility and the following students will NOT receive a HEAR:
- Students studying Postgraduate Research programmes.
- Incoming exchange students.
- Students who studied a single module programme.
- Students studying at some partner institutions.
If you are not entitled to a HEAR, you may be able to purchase a transcript via our Certificates webpage.
Please get in touch with the University using our Contact Form. You should provide us with a valid email address and as much detail as possible including:
- Your Student Number.
- Your programme of study.
- The year of programme completion
- Your full name at the time you undertook your study.
We will send you an account activation email for Gradintelligence. You will then be able to login and view your HEAR.
Please note that not all graduates will have access to a HEAR, including those who studied before 2014, on Research only, incoming exchange, single module or some partner programmes.
Please troubleshoot your issue with Gradintelligence and follow their account recovery process if necessary.
Your HEAR will be uploaded to your Gradintelligence account soon after you complete your degree. This can take up to 8 weeks after you have received your final academic results.
If you have received your degree certificate and your HEAR remains unavailable please use our Contact Form to let the University know. Please include the following details:
- Your Student Number.
- Your programme of study.
- The year of programme completion.
- Your full name at the time you undertook your study.
We will investigate and upload your HEAR as soon as possible.
If you have created an account on Gradintelligence without using the information provided in your account activation email, you will not be able to view your HEAR on this account. Please use our Contact Form to request an account activation email.
Please note that not all graduates will have access to a HEAR, including those who studied before 2014, on Research only, incoming exchange, single module or some partner programmes.
Please use our contact form to tell us about the missing information. We will investigate and amend your HEAR if appropriate.
Please note – your HEAR will only include information that can be verified by Northumbria University. There is standard text included within the Additional Achievements section (6.1) stating that students may have undertaken additional activities that cannot be verified by Northumbria University. Any activities that we cannot verify, can still be included in your CV or job application statements. The HEAR does not replace a CV but can be used to complement it.
If you need support with employability or CV creation, you can access the services of our Graduate Futures careers team for up to 5 years after graduation.
PhD programmes do not have transcripts. If you require a letter from the University to confirm this, please make a request using the HEAR section of our contact form.
Unfortunately, Foundation Year marks are not recorded on your HEAR. You can purchase a transcript which includes your Foundation Year on our Certificates webpage.

You can share your HEAR with a third party be sending them an electronic token, which is valid for a period of time and a number of views that you can specify.
