programme supported by the Student and Graduate Enterprise team? Our placement
gives you a valuable opportunity to learn about enterprise, start or grow a
business and what it means to be an entrepreneur.
To be eligible for this placement opportunity you need to be
a current student on a programme which has a placement module built into it,
your programme leader should be able to help you with this.
You will receive one to one support from the team as well as
support from our expert specialist advisers. Instead of a regular placement,
you will:
- Get the chance to kickstart your business while you're still at university, offering you the chance to see if being a business owner is for you.
- Build your entrepreneurial skills with the help of our team of experts
- Build networks and connections with other businesses and peers
What to Consider
You must be an undergraduate student at Northumbria
university, eligible to undertake a placement year.
You must check if our offer meets the
requirements of your placement module
The programme involves workshops, events, mentoring and
group support. You will be required to attend all activities in-person in
Newcastle City Campus.
As part of the placement, you will be expected to work from
our Incubator space for the majority of your placement.
It will be fast paced and hard work, requiring
self-motivation and commitment.
The enterprise placement length will depend on the length of
your placement module.
