Northumbria University staff are encouraged to work with our SICs to reflect on the inclusivity of practice within their faculty or service. Academic and professional services staff members of all grades who feel they would benefit from objective student input are welcome to engage with the scheme.
Previous examples of staff-student partnerships have included SICs reviewing:
- teaching materials within a module to ensure accessibility
- impact of University policy on a specific student group
- marketing materials to ensure diverse approaches to recruitment
Staff members who have taken part in the scheme have positive feedback about their experience:
