Our Values Our Behaviours

At Northumbria we have our Values which are our guiding principles that collectively define who we are, what we do, and what’s most important to us.

At Northumbria we have our Values which are our guiding principles that collectively define who we are, what we do, and what’s most important to us.

Our Behaviours, which have been developed by colleagues, quite simply are the practical application of our values, translating them into day-to-day actions. They provide clarity on how we do things as individuals, as a collective, and as an organisation overall.

Northumbria Values and Behaviours describe what makes us different from the rest, they allow us to make decisions and take actions which drive us towards the achievement of our vision and strategy.

All colleagues at Northumbria are responsible for embracing our Values and Behaviours in all that they do.

Our values are academic excellence, collaboration, inclusivity, innovation and ambition.

Our behaviours are that we listen and learn, we support one another to succeed, we respect everyone and their contributions, we trust in ourselves and each other and we are bold. For a fully accessible version of this framework, please visit the link to the interactiv version on this page.
