This project aimed to develop a national BIM roadmap for the Brazilian Construction sector.

This project aimed to develop a national BIM roadmap for the Brazilian Construction sector.

Northumbria University’s Academic (Dr. Mohamad Kassem) was appointed by the Brazilian Government under the sponsorship of the European Union-Brazil Sectoral Dialogues to closely work with the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC), the Ministry of Planning, Budget and Management, and the construction industry stakeholders to develop the national BIM roadmap.

The work entailed: a review of the national BIM strategies of several EU countries including the UK, an assessment of the baseline of the BIM maturity in Brazil, and the development of a national BIM strategy for Brazil.
