Dr Shanfeng Hu

Dr Shanfeng Hu is an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Science at Northumbria University, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK. He earned his PhD from the school in 2020 and joined as a Lecturer soon after. During his PhD from 2018 to 2020, Dr Hu gained practical industry experience as a Senior Data Scientist in the financial sector. His research interests include machine learning, spectral methods, and data mining, with funded projects in advanced manufacturing (Innovate UK KTP), supply chain (Digital Catapult, Innovate UK ISCF), and digital health (EU Erasmus+, EU MSCA).
