Dr Yuchao Liu

Lecturer

Department: Mathematics, Physics and Electrical Engineering

Dr Yuchao Liu joined Northumbria University as a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics, Physics & Electrical Engineering in January 2023. She received her Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2019. From 2017 to 2018, she was a visiting student in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London. From 2019 to 2021, she was a Lecturer at Harbin Engineering University, where she researched on Power Coordination and Optimal Allocation of DC Microgrids. From 2021 to 2022, she was a Research Fellow in the Power Electronics, Machines and Control (PEMC) Research Group at University of Nottingham, where she was involved in EU Horizon 2020 project Investigation and Maturation of Technologies for Hybrid Electric Propulsion (IMOTHEP).
