Our Alumni - Work For Us
A Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with Northumbria University provides a mechanism for private sector organisations to plan and deliver ambitious, strategic projects in collaboration with our Academics. KTPs help embed new knowledge and implement ways of working that make a big impact on competitiveness, productivity and profits. External partners receive financial support in the form a grant towards the total cost of the project of either 50% or 67%, depending on their size.
By working with a talented graduate, postgraduate or postdoctoral researcher, guided by leading university specialists, organisations can introduce new approaches, develop new products, processes, and services efficiently and effectively. Businesses who participate in a KTP consistently report wide-ranging benefits including improved business performance, competitive advantage, increased productivity and access to new markets, including export.
The KTP programme marks its 50th year in 2025 has a long track record of success. The scheme is led and funded by Innovate UK, the UK’s national innovation agency. Innovate UK supports business-led innovation, technologies in the UK.
If you’re interested in finding out more about how a Knowledge Transfer Partnership with Northumbria University and how it could benefit your organisation, get in touch directly with the team at ktp@northumbria.ac.uk.
We’ll help you explore your options and find the right solution.
