Alice Ackroyd
Alice is a seasoned HR and development specialist passionate about helping management teams create structures and cultures where people feel valued, rewarded and able to deliver their best. Having worked as a development specialist within businesses for many years, Alice uses her expertise to help develop and implement a people plan that is aligned with the business’ goals and vision for growth. Unlike many HR and Development consultants, she has worked in growing organisations throughout her career, and understands the importance of creating an employee value proposition and culture which supports employees to perform.

Module 9 - High Performance Workplace - Case Study
What are the key messages within the module you deliver?
- How to engage your employees/teams and help them through the inevitable changes that happen as a company grows
- How leadership helps or hinders employee engagement and growth
- The type of leadership style and organisation structure needed for a growing organisation
Why does your background make you an expert to deliver on the subject?
Alice has worked in growing SMEs for most of her career as a HR and leadership specialist, so has experience with employee engagement and communication processes and has also developed managers to recruit, develop and consult as part of their role. Alice has also coached managers on how to adapt to change and the importance of the collective ‘leadership shadow’ in providing consistency and reassurance that the senior team have both the employees and business interests at heart.
Steve Duncan
Steve Duncan has 18 years’ experience working for Procter and Gamble and The IBM Corporation in the UK and abroad with experience in Manufacturing, Logistics and Human Resources. In 2004, Steve set up his own business, Duncan HR Ltd, a small HR consultancy firm to assist smaller companies with their HR needs.

Module 7 - Organisational Design
What are the key messages within the module you deliver?
- How to design your company jobs (depth of skills/expertise) and assemble them into a meaningful organisation structure that will make your organisation as efficient as possible
- Making your organisation responsive and reactive to changing customer demands and how to do that from a Human Resources point of view
- Positives and negatives of the 4 main different types of organisational structure
Why does your background make you an expert to deliver on the subject?
With approximately 20 years experience working in manufacturing, logistics and HR, Steve has developed a thorough understanding of these principles. On the course, Steve shares his lived experience of HR issues in manufacturing companies, and how to problem-solve these issues in a real hands-on manner.
Peter Hammond
Peter has over 30 years’ experience in HR and training, working internationally across all sectors. He has run his own HR and training consultancy for 20 years, supporting small, medium, and large organisations across the North of England. During that time, he has trained HR professionals via blended learning in the private sector and worked as an associate consultant for his professional body, CIPD.

Module 8 - Employee Engagement and Leading Change
What are the key messages within the module you deliver?
- A systematic approach to planning change can really improve the chances for the project to succeed
- If you understand how humans react to change you can support them more effectively
- Engaging effectively with employees can connect them more to the business, improving their performance and your productivity
- It is important to identify your strengths as a change leader, develop other areas, and adjust your mindset
Why does your background make you an expert to deliver on the subject?
Peter has experience of leading change projects at all levels in large and small organisations, involving senior managers and employees. He is qualified to coach and support those struggling with change, so uses these skills to support those on the course with difficulties in their respective organisations.
David Lovenbury
David runs Pale Foundation Ltd, a business that helps smaller businesses better engage with existing and future customers.This covers business development, account management, lead generation, community engagement and networking. He has an inherent interest in brand, marketing and digital and supports several tech start-ups.
