The Northumbria Materials Characterisation Laboratory (NMCL) delivers comprehensive analytical services spanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and optical spectroscopy, while the Thin Film Laboratory provides a suite of physical vapour deposition tools (magnetron sputtering, electron beam and thermal evaporation) and atomic layer deposition capability.
