Founded in 1956, MDIS is one of the most established not-for-profit organisations in Singapore delivering lifelong learning. They offer internationally-accredited courses in a range of subjects, in collaboration with renowned universities in the United Kingdom and the United States of America. These include Business and Management, Engineering, Fashion and Design, Health and Nursing, Health Sciences, Information Technology, Languages and Education, Life Sciences, Media and Communications, Psychology, Tourism and Hospitality Management, and Safety and Environmental Management.

Northumbria University collaborates with MDIS to enable students to study a Biomedical Science Undergraduate Programme in Singapore.
