Additional terms for courses involving a professional placement and/or access to children and vulnerable adults.

Please note that it will be clearly identified to you in your course information if your programme includes a professional placement and / or access to children or vulnerable adults.

We are required by Social Work England (SWE) to have in place mechanisms to:

1. Minimise as far as possible the likelihood of students being selected who cannot then be found placements for reasons related to their personal suitability as highlighted in the SWE  Professional Standards and Qualifying Education and Training Standards.

2. Minimise the risk of taking students who will then not obtain registration with SWE upon completion of the programme.

You will be sent a link to complete a Professional Suitability Form in advance of your start date. If you declare anything as part of this process, we will contact you for further information as relevant. Failure to return the online form may prevent your enrolment.
