Our Sport Management programme is designed to enable you to appreciate and evaluate sport, as a global business, from an informed and inquisitive managerial viewpoint. At every level of study, you will develop vocationally relevant experience and skills; such as event management, strategic and economic planning, social media management, and sport marketing. You will also develop transferable skills in areas such as; communication, negotiation, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving.
Would you like to be a sport manager for the Olympic Organising Committee, a partnership manager at Chelsea FC, a key account executive at Nike, a marketing manager at Tottenham Hotspur FC, or perhaps manage a global events management company? These are just some of the professional careers our recent graduates have chosen. The sport industry has changed significantly in recent years but it continues to be dynamic and innovative, creating challenges and well-paid career opportunities for knowledgeable sport managers.
If you’d like to study sport management in a supportive and enjoyable environment whilst preparing for an exciting career in a global multi-million pound industry then the Northumbria University BSc (Hons) Sport Management is the degree for you.
Our programme of study responds to the distinctive needs of international sports organisations. Therefore, the programme has been designed from the outset as a sport management degree, rather than a business degree with a few sport modules attached.
Due to our unique learning and teaching experience, you will graduate from our degree programme with a rounded knowledge of specific and transferable management skills, which are desirable to a variety of graduate-level employers.
This programme is delivered entirely at Hong Kong University: SPACE (HKU SPACE) in Hong Kong and is offered as Part Time and Full Time mode of study.

Northumbria University is committed to developing an inclusive, diverse and accessible campus and wider University community and are determined to ensure that opportunities we provide are open to all.
We are proud to work in partnership with AccessAble to provide Detailed Access Guides to our buildings and facilities across our City, Coach Lane and London Campuses. A Detailed Access Guide lets you know what access will be like when you visit somewhere. It looks at the route you will use getting in and what is available inside. All guides have Accessibility Symbols that give you a quick overview of what is available, and photographs to show you what to expect. The guides are produced by trained surveyors who visit our campuses annually to ensure you have trusted and accurate information.
You can use Northumbria’s AccessAble Guides anytime to check the accessibility of a building or facility and to plan your routes and journeys. Search by location, building or accessibility feature to find the information you need.
We are dedicated to helping students who may require additional support during their student journey and offer 1-1 advice and guidance appropriate to individual requirements.
