It was the perfect university, combining both a fantastic educational course and social prospect.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

I love the heritage that Newcastle possess, deriving from the illustrious St. James' Park at the very center of everything. I participate in football and futsal for Northumbria University from a sporting perspective, however, I like to delve into the social aspects of Newcastle including the restaurants, bars and entertainment that it has on offer. The most positive element is that it is a perfect distance away from the rural area of Northumberland, allowing panoramic views for walks and runs.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

The surprising element has been realisation that Newcastle Centre is only small, however, the impressive element is that it contains so much history, heritage and potential for the future. Additionally, is the element of the friendliness of the people within the city and surrounding areas.

Football (3rds): becoming vice-captain, social manager and media manager and scoring against Newcastle University twice. This sporting year has been capitalised with the integral win of the Stan Calvert, what a phenomenal achievement.

What is the best thing about your course?

The level of teaching, with regards to their knowledge and experiences.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

Determination and a never quit attitude.

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

I am aiming to become a Regional Development Officer with 2 years of graduating, hopefully within the FA, in order to then progress through the ranks at the FA.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

They must be 100% certain initially, or have a very determined attitude in order to complete the course which is demanding.
