Where are you from?

Manchester

Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

Because it offers a placement year, other universities I applied for did not have this.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

The night life is really good and there is loads to see, such as the Quayside and shopping.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

The night life and the Quayside has surprised me, both places are very nice at night!

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

Yes, everybody was very welcoming and if I needed help there was always somebody to ask and would help me.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

Meeting friends and my course.

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

My lecturers have been very helpful and so has the maths society.

Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?

Lecturers and others student in different years as it pushes me to try and get good grades.

What is your favourite place on campus?

e Students' Union.

What is the best thing about your course?

Learning and increasing my knowledge about maths and what it can do in real life situations.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

Try hard and it will show.

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

I'm not 100% what I want to do, but my people skills which have increased from University will help.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

It's such a good University, you'll make lots of friends and the lecturers are great, if you need help with work or anything theyre there to help.

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

My confidence has grown, my social life has too! My knowledge and ability will keep growing throughout university.

If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be?

Amazing, fun, crazy!

Would you recommend Northumbria University to a friend?

YES 100%!
