Placements

Northumbria University has forged strong links with a wide range of local and international organisations in order to provide our students with the best placement opportunities available.

The information you will find on the following pages covers both placement in industry/sandwich placements and those placements which are integral to a number of our professional programmes such as nursing, education and social work.

To make navigation easier, we have split the information into the three sections below. Please follow the links to be taken to the relevant section you wish to view.

Placements
This section covers placements for students on any programmes other than those listed under the 'Practice Placements' section.

Practice Placements
This section covers our professional programmes where placement forms part of the programme assessment and which must be completed in order to successfully complete the course. This includes our nursing, midwifery, ODP, initial teacher training, social work, physiotherapy and occupational therapy degrees.

Study Abroad Exchange and Erasmus
We offer a wide range of opportunities for students to study abroad as part of their degree programme, or as a summer or Easter placement.
