As usual there is all the latest research news, including Northumbria academics supporting Arctic communities threatened by climate change, discovering bacteria in snake and spider venom, finding kinder treatments for childhood leukaemia and exploring the influence of social media on counterfeit crime.

There is also chance to find out more about Northumbria’s new Vice Chancellor Professor Andy Long, as he explains why he wanted to join Northumbria and how the University can look to the future with confidence and ambition.
