Our Alumni - Work For Us
I am an Assistant Professor of Education at Northumbria University, Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and a Qualified Teacher (QTS). Before embarking on an academic career I taught across primary, middle and secondary phases in England and internationally where I became a leading teacher of Geography, Information Technology and a senior leader. I joined Northumbria to work in Initial Teacher Education (ITE), and have gained extensive experience of programme leadership, curriculum development and quality assurance in this area.
Currently I hold a leadership position within the School of Communities and Education that extends beyond ITE.
My research interests are embedded in this multidisciplinary context and include Higher Education policy, practice and the student experience; climate justice education, formative assessment through AI and education for death, dying & bereavement.
I completed my PhD in Higher Education Research, Evaluation & Enhancement at the University of Lancaster and have a particular interest in using visual methods to support innovative qualitative research.
