Meghan Kumar

I work in global health and implementation research because it brings together three things that I love: science, people, and a multi-cultural work environment!

I use a broad range of methods to get at issues around sustainability and systems improvement towards equity in health, with a strong focus on economics and complexity science.

I'm very interested in experience of care (particularly maternity) and how we can use strengths-based and creative approaches to motivate both health workers and health seekers.  I apply these methods with colleagues across a variety of country contexts and sub-national geographies, thinking actively about in transferability of research findings.

I'm currently building a team in this area in Newcastle and very excited to connect to others working in this space looking to collaborate and learn from each other.
