Dr Giulia Longo

Assistant Professor

Department: Mathematics, Physics and Electrical Engineering

Giulia Longo

I am conducting a multidisciplinary research, that spans between chemistry, physics and material science

My research interests focus in the development of new materials for optoelectronic applications. In particular, I am interested in the study of new perovskite-inspired materials for photovoltaic technologies, such as double-perovskite, vacancy-ordered perovskites and chalcogenide perovskite.

I am developing new synthetic approaches for new materials, such as nanoparticle preparation, mechanochemical synthesis or solvothermal technique, as well as characterising the optoelectronic properties of photovoltaic materials.
