Newcastle Congregations

The next Newcastle congregations will be take place between Thursday 9 July to Wednesday 15 July 2026

Bookings have now closed for the July ceremonies. We look forward to welcoming you to the ceremonies in Sports Central. 

Joining instructions have now been emailed to all students attending the July ceremonies. Please note that physical tickets are not issued and this email serves as an entry pass to the ceremony for you and your guests. No guests will be admitted without a student who is attending. 

On the Day 

Please bring your confirmation email  with you. 

You will need one form of ID to pick up your name card from the registration desk so please ensure you have this with you. Accepted ID documents include your University smartcard, valid driving licence, passport or BRP card.  

Gowns 

The gown orders have now closed, however, you may be able to hire a gown on the day of your ceremony. Please report to Ede & Ravenscroft in Student Central.

Deferring your ceremony if you cannot attend

If you cannot attend your congregation ceremony for personal reasons, you can apply for deferral.  Once you have received your invitation, you can opt to attend a future ceremony by completing the Deferral Application Form.  Please note if you wish to attend a Congregation, you must attend within one year of being awarded.  You should apply for deferral before the date of your original ceremony, any deferral applications submitted retrospectively will not be considered.
