Northumbria University, Newcastle has a long history of accepting students from Brazil on to a range of foundation, undergraduate, postgraduate and research courses.

General entry criteria for qualifications from Brazil is given below but Northumbria will consider other qualifications for entry onto its courses:

For entry to: You will need: Grade Required:
International Foundation Programme Certificado do Ensino Medio  Recommended CGPA 7
1st year Undergraduate One year University course in Brazil  60%
First year of Bacharel/Licenciado/Licenciatura /  Bachelors Degree  GPA of 7.5
2nd/3rd Year Undergraduate  2/3 years of Bacharel/Licenciado/Licenciatura / Bachelors Degree  Year 2 - GPA of 7.5 and at least 60 credits completed – 20 credits would need to be relevant to the subject.

Year 3 - GPA of 7.5 and at least 90 credits completed – 30 credits would need to be relevant to the subject. 
Postgraduate Bacharel/Licenciado/Licenciatura / Bachelors Degree (when awarded by a regionally accredited institution)  GPA of 6.5  for courses which require a UK 2:2 equivalent

GPA of 7.5 or above for courses which require a UK 2:1 equivalent
Graduate Certificate Bacharel/Licenciado/Licenciatura / Bachelors Degree (when awarded by a regionally accredited institution)  Pass (GPA of 5 or above)

Actual requirements may vary depending on your chosen course of study and certain courses may have specific or additional entry requirements, full details can be found on our course directory. Decisions for entry will also be based on personal statements, previous study information and not just your final course grading.
