The Unit sits within the Department of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation (DSER), which has three core discipline areas (Physiotherapy; Sport and Exercise Sciences; Sport Coaching, Development and Management). Our research has three distinct themes that encapsulate the research richness of the Unit; these are Optimising Human Performance, Promoting and Preserving and Health and Well-being, and Informing Practice and Policy. The themes provide a platform of inclusivity that recognises the breadth and depth of research excellence across all disciplines.
