Facilities

The Department of Psychology provides students with the use of a number of dedicated specialist and flexible teaching laboratories for both practical work and to support students in their studies. These labs are used for timetabled teaching sessions, project work and are also available for students to use for private study. Eighteen cubicles associated with the Experimental Psychology Lab are available for students to book in conjunction with specialist equipment for project research work, whilst the student hub offers the opportunity for independent work supported by an ‘honesty’ library and equipment to facilitate the preparation and rehearsal of oral and poster presentations.

The Department also has an extensive collection of psychological testing material to support student and staff research. The collection includes current editions of most of the widely used group and individual tests and a wide range of tests including assessment, occupational and vocational testing.
