Morpeth, Northumberland.
Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?
It is local so I know the area and the course content was so unique from other universities.
What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?
It's great! I love that there is something for everyone in Newcastle. Variety of shops, sports, cinema and plenty of places to go on a night out- from clubs to pub quizzes.
What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?
The amount of culture behind the city and the interesting museums.
Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?
I struggled at first but I settled during Freshers Week. I found that you need to just be friendly to everyone and get involved with events to fit in.
What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?
Meeting people from all over the world and volunteering within the Students' Union.
Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?
My lecturers. The level of knowledge, passion and experience they have in the subject field is amazing.
What is your favourite place on campus?
Habita in the SU.
Have you joined any sports teams, clubs or been involved in any volunteer projects? Tells us about the highlights?
RAG week and the London RAD Raid. Also being in the Stitch, Bake and Bitch Society and being nominated to be on the committee next year.
What is the best thing about your course?
How passionate my lecturers are and that you get to mix with the Performance and Scriptwriting students.
What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?
Be friendly to everyone and be sociable.
What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?
I feel that my volunteering with RAG has helped me get my confidence levels up to talk to the public, this can help me with my course as I wish to work with different communities using drama in the future.
Have you taken up any opportunities to travel with your current course/undertake field trips? If so, please tell us about them.
Theatre trips to Northern Stage and Live Theatre.
If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?
Look at all the courses available. I was nearly going to go for Performance until I looked further into the website and found Drama and Applied Theatre which I felt more suited to. Also to get involved with a society, sports team or volunteering to widen your friendship circle.
How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?
I feel that I have come out of my shell a lot and I have found myself whilst being in Newcastle. I have had the chance to experience different cultures as my flatmate is from Indonesia so it has been great to experience her culture here and to teach her about ours.

Absolutely amazingly awesome!
