Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

Northumbria University has an exhange partnership with my college back in Brunei. I've found that Newcastle is one of the best places to study in the UK, and its has the best sport facilities I could find, which is important to me.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

I love Newcastle, it's a big city and the living costs in here are quite reasonable compared to other places in the UK. I love the shopping, and going to the movies with my friends most tuesday nights!

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

My first impression of Newcastle were amazing. I love the night life around here, it is really just beyond anything I had in my imagination.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

Yes, it is very welcoming. I have many friends, and I fit in very well.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

Going to the gym during my free time and enjoying study time with my friends.

Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?

Firstly, the uni representative back in Brunei, my parents, my previous college and also the people I've spoke to and sought advice from before I came to Newcastle.

What is your favourite place on campus?

Sport Central, Newcastle Business School and the Library.

What is the best thing about your course?

I like that we don't have exams in the final year.

What do you want to do in the future?  What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

I would like to work in a finance department.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

Study smart and manage your time smartly.

Would you recommend Northumbria University to a friend?

Yes.
