Cheltenham.

Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

I wanted to experience a big student city and had heard great things about Newcastle.

I think Newcastle is a beautiful, friendly and vibrant city. There is plenty going on, my favourite spot in Newcastle is Jesmond Dene, a nice place to relax.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

The opportunities that the city and university offer, such as the Air Squadron, which I enjoyed in my 2nd year.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming?  Was it easy to fit in?

Yes, especially the staff.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

I particularly enjoyed the facilities that Sport Central offers and going to the gym in between lectures. The gym is great and very convenient.

My lecturers, but two in particular, I have found that the lecturers really do want you to succeed and will do all they can to help.

Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?

No one in particular, however I found the London field trip organised by the University very inspiring and motivational. It excited me about my future career in the property industry, meeting professionals from top firms such as The Grosvenor Estate.

What is your favourite place on campus?

Sport Central.

Have you joined any sports teams, clubs or been involved in any volunteer projects?  Tells us about the highlights?

It is practical and because it is RICS accredited it leads on to a career as a Chartered surveyor.

Work experience is vital to securing a graduate job.

I did not take a placement year, however I did a lot of work experience in my holidays and the best part of these experiences was meeting property professionals .

Have you taken up any opportunities to travel with your current course/undertake field trips?  If so, please tell us about them.

Our course went on a London field trip which as I've mentioned above was a great experience.
